Charging station

FlexiO gives you a choice between four different charging modes. You can choose to start charging immediately using the ‘Urgent’ mode at any time.

• Peak avoidance: Your car will be charged as quickly as possible without significantly increasing the current monthly peak.

• Smart: Your car will be charged as economically as possible. Charging takes place more quickly when energy prices are low and more slowly when they are high.

• Eco: Your car is only charged if the cost is lower than the price you have set. There is no guarantee that the car will be charged.

• Solar: Your car is only charged with excess solar energy that would otherwise go to the grid. There is no guarantee that the car will be charged.

You can change the charging mode by clicking on the EV icon on the platform.

No, not at all! FlexiO makes sure your electric car is charged as cheaply as possible. Your employer pays a fixed fee for each kWh charged in the company car at home.

The ‘ECO’ mode lets you set the employer’s price. FlexiO ensures that your car is only charged when electricity is cheaper than this value entered. But with this mode, you have no guarantee that the car will be charged.

The Luminus Smart Charging app is only worthwhile if your charging station is not compatible with FlexiO. But you can still use FlexiO to optimise your other energy flows.

If your charging station is compatible with FlexiO, this is the best choice to optimise the charging of your car.
