From 30 July 2025, companies with an annual energy uptake of more than 1,000 MWh will be required to install a minimum of 12.5 Wp per m² of roof area.
As a self-employed person or company, you can deduct part of your taxable profit: 8% for the one-off investment deduction and 13.5% for increased investment deduction. Moreover, you can spread the depreciation of your solar panels over several years, further reducing the final financial cost of your installation.
1. Sufficient space:
Minimum 150 m² roof space in Flanders, 40 m² in Wallonia,
or equivalent space on the ground.
2. Correct location:
A roof facing south, south-east or south-west is
ideal for maximum power output.
3. Building permit:
Usually not required for roofs, but required for carports,
ground installations and listed buildings.
4. Stability:
Your roof should be able to support at least 25 kg/m². A stability study and
inspection of the electrical installation are mandatory.

A few days after installation, you will receive an e-mail from us with more information on how to follow up the installation online.
Do you have a Huawei inverter?
You can track your installation through the Fusionsolar platform. You can do this on your laptop or by downloading the app on your smartphone.
Your login is usually the e-mail address known to us.
You will receive the password directly via an e-mail from Fusionsolar.
Do you have a Solis inverter?
You can track your installation on the Solis Cloud platform (https://www.soliscloud.com/#/homepage):
Your login is usually the e-mail address known to us.
The password is usually 123456.
Besides production and consumption, Fusionsolar also lets you track your savings or yield in euros.
To do this, you must first set the electricity prices in your account:
Log in via your computer or the app.
Select ‘Installation’ and then ‘Installation management’.
Click on the pencil under ‘Actions’.
You will come to a new screen, choose ‘Set electrical prices’ here.
Here you can enter both an input rate and a purchase price. When entering rates, use a comma instead of a full stop.
Under ‘Import tariff’ you enter the price for the energy you inject into the grid.
Under ‘Purchase price’ you enter the price for the energy you take from the grid.
These prices vary per supplier and can be found on your invoice. To enter an injection tariff, you need a feed-in contract.
Remember to click ‘Apply’ after each addition or change. When you are done with the changes, click ‘Save’.
Consult our manual for Huawei inverters
After installing your solar panels, home battery and/or charging station, we will request your inspection from our partner ACEG.
ACEG will then send you an e-mail with a date proposal. Be sure to check your junk mail too!
About two working days after the inspection, you will receive an e-mail from us with the inspection report and other documents of your installation.
The AREI inspection consists of three parts: an administrative section, a visual inspection and the necessary tests and measurements. What can you expect?
Administrative section: Checking the single-wire diagram, the set-up diagram and the technical characteristics of your installation.
Visual inspection: verification of overcurrent and direct touch protection, and connections to the metal support structure of the panels.
Testing and measurements: Perform checks on insulation and dispersion resistance (earthing).
Note: The inspector is obliged to measure the earthing, so the interrupter must always be easily accessible. The earthing may have a resistance of no more than 30 ohms. It is your responsibility as a customer to ensure that the earthing is in order. If it is not, your installation will be rejected and additional charges may be levied.
If your installation was declared non-compliant, we will contact you to make the necessary adjustments.
Is the earthing not compliant? This is part of your home installation and should always be in order. You can choose to adjust it yourself or have it done by Insaver. If you choose another partner, we would like to receive confirmation as soon as the earthing is in order so we can request the re-inspection of your installation. Please note: the costs for the re-inspection will be at your expense in this case.
Any other breaches will be remedied by our technicians. We will contact you by phone as soon as possible to schedule an intervention. After a successful intervention, we will request the re-inspection for you.

No, the grid operator will inform your energy supplier of the installation, so you don’t have to do this yourself. However, we do recommend that you take out a feed-in contract. This way, you will receive compensation for the electricity you generate but do not consume directly and thus inject back into the grid. Contact your energy supplier for more information on injection tariffs.
