Hi, Robby, go ahead and introduce yourself.
Hello, my name is Robby Hanssen. I live in Bilzen, am divorced and have two fantastic daughters, Chiara and Alena, ages 15 and 11.
Describe yourself in three words.
Normally, it’s up to others to describe me, but if I had to choose, I’d say:
- Sales-oriented
- Ambitious
- Social
What is your background?
I have worked all my life in the energy sector .
In 1998, I started in an interim position at Interelectra, where I worked for three years.
In 2001, I became one of the first five staff members of Luminus, which was a start-up at the time. After one year working as sales support in the office, I had the opportunity to start working as a sales representative. I haven’t stopped since.
At the end of 2022, I decided to take on a new challengeafter 22 years at Luminus and have absolutely no regrets! I didn’t have to look too far away either…!
What is your job title and what are your tasks at Insaver?
I am a B2B Business Development Manager.
I enthusiastically engage in selling PV installations to industrial customers in the regions of Limburg, Flemish Brabant and Antwerp.
What motivated you most to work at Insaver and what do you like most about your job?
Social contact with customers!
This is very much part of the job at Insaver, which was why I decided to take a new step in my career after so many years at Luminus.
So, it’s very nice to see and hear that Insaver has built a strong reputation as a reliable partner in the B2B market.
Apart from the basic necessities, what can’t you live a day without?
Again, my answer would have to be social contact.
I like to be around people and enjoy a good time.
There’s nothing better than enjoying good food and laughing with friends!
How do you like to spend your time off?
I’m a passionate football fan. I used to play, but now more likely to be found behind (or in front of) the scenes!
I am a huge supporter of Standard and am a member of the board of the club Schoonbeek-Beverst.
